A great kick off the end of the semester was Spring Fest a couple weekends ago. Not only is there a TON of free stuff to get from various organizations around campus, but it also is Bug Bowl! I never realized how huge it was until I experienced it for myself. Even though it was pouring rain, that didn’t really stop anyone from coming out to see the festivities. Though there are a lot of little kids there, I think my roommates and I had a better time than they did! We got to try tons of types of honey, eat mealworms and cricket brownies, and also pet tons of different animals and bugs. My favorites were the baby calf, cockroaches, and the baby duck. It was pretty neat. Also, a bunch of different organizations gave out free popcorn and cotton candy, so we didn’t even get hungry.
It was a great way to spend an afternoon before the craziness of finals set in.
