I’m having a very busy, but fun filled summer. I am currently working as a research intern at the Indiana University School of Medicine in downtown Indianapolis. I am working in the Institute of Psychiatric Research with one of the associate professors of psychiatry. I am really enjoying myself. I’m currently studying the behaviors of alcohol preferring rats in relationship to their alcohol behaviors and alcohol consumption. Its a very interesting study and I look forward to continually learning about these effects during the duration of my time here. I’m also taking a calculus class downtown as well. The teaching style is definitely different from what I am used to at Purdue. Although Purdue math is very tough, I enjoy the teachers a lot more. I feel like the teaching style at Purdue is better for me. I hope everyone is having a great summer and I look forward to seeing/working with everyone this coming fall.
