Hello Everyone!

We’re all getting buckled down for the school year now that we’re settled into our new home, Purdue University. I hope you all you new students had a smooth transition into the college life. And I hope that you seniors are having a wonderful last year in high school and are looking forward to your college search. We had our football season opener AND we won! Boiler up! I was able to sit in the second row with a big group of my friends and it was such a good time! The energy in the student section is electrifying, especially when you’re that close to the field. I love seeing the band, dancers, cheerleaders, and baton twirlers because they are so energetic and have so much pride for Purdue and it’s so evident when they’re performing. And here’s a fun fact: The Golden Girl (baton twirler), Merriebeth Cox, is competing as Miss Indiana in the Miss America pageant in Las Vegas.  I think that’s just one more example of a Purdue student representing the university and go above and beyond the norm. I am so proud to be a Boilermaker!
