This past week I spent two days down at Indiana University (I know, it was a rough couple days having to set foot on their campus) for the National Team Selling Competition. It was co-hosted by the Altria Group and the Kelley School of Business. Teams made up of four students and a coach represented 21 of the top sales and marketing schools across the country in competing to solve a case study. Our team received the case two weeks prior to the competition and we spent about 40 hours preparing and doing research on the case. Our team pitched one of the most innovative ideas that the judges heard and we received extremely positive feedback from the judges and members of Altria.
This experience was very worthwhile and definitely an encouraging amazing experience. Being around industry leaders and competing against extremely bright students from around the country was very rewarding. When it was all said and done, we did well in the competition but more importantly I was honored to represent Purdue at a national competition!
