The semester is wrapping up and with that comes finals, presentations, and project due dates rapidly approaching. For AGEC 331, Principles of Selling in Agricultural Business, we have already completed the final project for the semester. Our final project was to participate in the well known Ready, Set, Sell Night. Throughout the semester, we had to find a sales coach in the industry to interview and shadow for a day. We then used our sales coach’s product and company for all of our assignments the rest of the semester. Each of the assignments helped to build a sales call step by step. We role played our sales call with an industry professional on the Ready, Set, Sell Night. There was over 80 sales professionals who volunteered their time to network with us students and lend their guidance. While most of us were nervous leading up the event, we left with confidence and experience from a professional selling environment.
