Even though it is starting to warm up no, it’s no easy feat braving the Indiana cold anytime before 930 in the morning, so I’d like to give a few tips to stay motivated in these dreary winter months:
1) Always think about your end-of-the-semester grade report. For those of you who haven’t come to college yet and don’t know how easy it is to skip class, you’ll learn how much harder it makes getting good grades. Anytime I think about sleeping in, I know it will make my chances of getting an A slimmer by the class.
2) Go to the gym. Unless you’re part Eskimo, you probably don’t exercise outdoors between November and February here. Exercising is the best brain break you can give yourself, and it’s great for your body too!
3) Study in groups. It’s easy to wear yourself down in the winter if you study all alone, all the time. Studying in groups gives you some time to crack jokes and laugh, which is very necessary to staying mentally and emotionally healthy.
