The beginning of the semester is always an exciting time – everyone returns to campus, classes begin, and we get back into our daily routines. But aside from academics, it is also a time to figure out how to get involved on campus and find fun things to do and be a part of. One great way to do this is by going to call outs for different clubs and organizations that may interest you. Going to call outs lets you learn about the club or organization, figure out their goals, and meet new people. There are over 800 clubs and organizations here at Purdue so everyone is sure to find something they are interested in. (There is even a website you can check out to find all of them: https://boilerlink.purdue.edu/).
However, there is more to Purdue than clubs and organizations, there are events that happen on and around campus. For example, this past weekend I went to Indianapolis to do a 5k Run or Dye race. Indy is only a little more than an hour away, so if you are used to the city life it is a good weekend vacation. But in the Fall it is great to stay on campus, cheer our Boilermakers on, and be a part of an exciting football atmosphere!
