Each year Purdue’s National Student Speech Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) and Purdue’s Audiology Student Organization (PASO) help organize and plan the annual Crossroads Conference on Communicative Disorders. The conference is put on by the Department of Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Students, Speech Pathologists and Audiologists from all over the United States come to hear about new research and clinical practices in the field. As President of Purdue’s NSSLHA chapter, I have enjoyed organizing this important event within my major. The passion for the field is directly reflected by the speakers and if you are a student in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at Purdue, I recommend that you take the opportunity to attend this informative conference during your undergraduate career.
