Ever heard the expression, “Nobody really cares about sophomores” or “sophomores are basically invisible”? Well that’s not true! Just because we aren’t new to the school or graduating yet, doesn’t mean that we don’t matter. I believe that every year of college counts and we have to make the best of it. Some of the current things I’m excited about for my second semester as a sophomore are: looking forward to working in a new research lab dealing with Aphasia and Parkinson’s disease, attending Theater classes (my electives) because it’s something I’ve always wanted to take; Our new roommate (Freddy the fish) who has a cozy home on a wall; and more importantly, to see my boilermaker family, because they all mean so much to me.
