What to do on a fall Saturday at Purdue

Saturdays are always fun days filled with football, grilling out and hanging with friends. But when celery bog1the Boilermakers are on the road there is still plenty you can do at Purdue. It was a perfect Saturday. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and the football team wasn’t at Ross-Ade. My best friend, his girlfriend and my girlfriend decided we were all going to go visit the celery bog.celery bog2

The celery bog is a nature trail that goes through wooded areas and runs along a marsh/pond. It doesn’t sound that intriguing until you go walk through the trails and see all the wildlife. The celery bog is only a short drive from campus. Along the trail we saw tons of ducks, birds and even a bald eagle.

I plan on going back to the celery bog in the winter to see what the scenery looks like, and I will probably keep going back until I graduate. There are always things to do around West Lafayette and Lafayette during the weekends. The celery bog is just one!
